Equal Chess

“Equal Chess”, at it’s most simplest, is an in-browser chess game played against a computer opponent. Altered in both design and function, the game seeks to create a more “equal” experience. The board is stripped of boundary lines, and hierarcy is nullfied through inverting symbols to letters and rendering both sides white. Captures and checkmates are removed, transforming the game into an endless, meditative interplay between human and machine.
